Ribbons is a highly enjoyable and expressive musical instrument that takes inspiration from early electronic instruments like the Ondes Martenot and the Theremin. With an interface and synthesis engine firmly rooted in the present day, Ribbons (formerly known as "Ondes") captures the fluid playing style of these classic instruments.

Unlike any other instrument you've played before, Ribbons offers a unique experience whether you're gliding through melodies and chord changes or creating intricate polyphonic sci-fi soundscapes.

Unique Synthesis Engine

• Morphing wavetable oscillator featuring five wavetable sets.
• Swarm oscillators allow for detuning and lag effects, creating new textures.
• Various wavetable modulation sources, including Y-Axis, sine wave, noise, circle, and ADSR envelope.
• Resonant low pass filter to shape your sound.
• Filter modulation sources include ADSR envelope, sine wave, and Y-axis.
• Amplifier section with master volume, Y-axis control, and ADSR envelope.
• Y-axis can be mapped to control the rate and depth of wavetable and filter LFOs.

Effects

• Diverse selection of reverb types with adjustable amount.
• Delay effect with adjustable level, feedback, time, and filter.

MIDI

• Use Ribbons as a MIDI controller to control your favorite software and hardware synthesizers.
• Now supports MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE) output or use "classic mode" to manually manage MIDI ports.
• Map each touch to a unique MIDI Port/Channel for polyphonic pitch bend. Please consult the instructions to achieve optimal results due to Ribbons' unique pitch bend capabilities.

Inter-App Audio

• Record directly to Garageband and other audio apps on your iPad using Inter-App Audio or Audiobus.
• Built-in Inter-App Audio transport allows you to control a host app’s play, record, and rewind buttons.
• Supports Audiobus State Saving.
